AGE OF SERENITY
It was a hot, damp, Central European summer day. Hard light, not a cloud in the air and had decided to retire for the day.
I was walking on the long stretch of concrete where old trees create a perfect shadow cast, families sit on the benches enjoying the shades the trees cast over the road.
I was looking for a place to rest my legs and wipe my forehead as sweat was coming down by the bucket. When I noticed the elderly man sitting on the bench, not moving, dressed in a way, so becoming for his generation. Suit, white shirt, hat. I walked over him. He was just as warm as I must have been, but he was calm. I asked him if he was okay or wanted some water. All he wanted was his peace and quiet, he responded. I stepped back, with a grin and took the shot. It is one of my favourite shots I have taken.
